Task 1
This is a description of the first task for FieldRobotEvent 2012. The robot must be able to navigate the field depicted in figure 1. The inter-row distance is 75 cm minus plant thickness, hanging leafs etc. The row crop thickness could be between 0 and 45 cm. The headland at the end of the rows will be 150 cm.
Task 2
This is a description of the second task for FieldRobotEvent 2012. The task is similar to task 1 except that the rows may not be as smooth and you have to navigate a certain pattern as described in Figure 2.
Environmental conditions
- Fairly smooth terrain with several minor slopes up to 5 degrees.
- The surface may be bare soil with a loose or compact surface or may be covered with short grass
- Small obstacles may occur at up to one pr. 10 cm travel each having a maximum size corresponding to a sphere radius of 1.5 cm.
- The climate may vary between sunny, cloudy or rainy. The temperature may vary from 0 to 30 degrees.
